About the Role
Reporting to the Plant Controller, the Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for managing accounting and finance processes for ANI’s generics manufacturing plant in Baudette, MN. This position is a hands-on contributor and highly proactive business partner accustomed to successfully collaborating with leadership.
The Cost Accounting Manager works within the Finance department at the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility at the Baudette, MN location three days per week. Relocation within Minnesota is provided if needed.

Key Responsibilities
• Support plant operations with timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis of results (cost control versus budget, efficiencies & variance reporting, and providing cost forecasts).
• Conduct inventory reconciliations, verifications, physical inventory counts, and manage inventory reserves.
• Proactively identify and address any possible issues prior to month-end closing.
• Engage with colleagues and other stakeholders outside of Finance to enable an ongoing understanding of the business.
• Manage period-end end close activities (JE’s, variance analysis, account recs, reporting, & Inventory/COGS explanations)
• Support and manage the Equipment Purchase Request (EPR) process, including review and tracking.
• Handle all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including tracking, depreciation, and reporting
• Lead and manage budget and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate financial planning and analysis.
• Analyze and review destruction requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement and maintain SOX controls and procedures.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years relevant experience.
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities efficiently.
• Technical Proficiency: Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows Environment, particularly Excel, with demonstrated aptitude for Access and/or database management.
• Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, strong work ethic, and keen attention to detail.
• Effective Communication: Proactively and effectively communicates both orally and in writing, individually and in group settings, with stakeholders across various departments.
• Decision Making: Capable of making day-to-day decisions and understanding when to escalate issues.
• Data Affinity: Comfortable with and skilled in processing, working with, and understanding large amounts of data.
• Planning and Organization: Ability to plan work activities effectively to meet multiple deadlines.
• Problem Solving: Identifies and addresses issues in a timely and effective manner
